Granuloma: The eternal golden braid

Colon

From a case of suspected Crohn's disease/ TB. Note absence of necrosis.

Skin

BT leprosy. Granuloma around a follicle.

Lymph node

A lymph node granuloma on cytology

Another node

Another node in a child

More nodes

Epididymis

Omentum

A granuloma in omentum; extensive epithelioid change, undergoing keratinisation !

Another omentum

Langhans giant cell

Bone marrow

Any takers?

A child with a 1 cm swelling, almost impalpable, in right arm. FNAC yields this.I am clueless. Spindle cells, epithelial cells, giant cells, cohesive clusters. What?

Uterus

Voila, never thought would see this; a uterine lymphoma!

UPDATE : AKB says this is endometrial stromal sarcoma. However, here's a case of stromal sarcoma I received. It looks distinctly different

Differentiating towards gestational endometrium, this is clear cell carcinoma. Look at the hobnailing.

An endometrium showing glandular formations merging into neoplastic stroma, a carcinosarcoma (MMMT)

A few crazy cells

Some findings from the first week of cytology rotation
An NHL on FNAC
A pseudo giant cell
Giant cells in pap smear

Some squamous metaplastic cells

A neoplastic ball from a breast lump
Intranuclear inclusions
More of the same

Carcinoma gall bladder, note the columnar epithelium

Overall, cytology does not disappoint you.
